We went looking for what UK GEO and AI SEO agencies actually charge, and the first finding was how few of them say.
Everything below was checked on 5 October 2026 and every figure is linked to the page it came from. Where an agency doesn’t publish a price, we say so rather than estimate one.
The agencies that publish a figure
| Agency | Published tiers | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Studio 36 Digital | Starter £399 +VAT, Grow £699 +VAT, Dominate £999 +VAT, Bespoke POA | No contract, 30 days’ notice. GEO and AEO referenced but not separately priced |
| Elite Digital Agency | Starter £995, Growth £1,995, Enterprise £4,995 | AEO optimisation appears in the Growth tier, entity SEO strategy in Enterprise |
| NeuralAdX | Visibility Boost £450 +VAT, Growth £1,250 +VAT, Authority £5,000 +VAT, Market Leader £10,000 +VAT | The most complete GEO-specific rate card we found. Free AI visibility test first |
| ClickSlice | From £2,000/month +VAT | No fixed packages, rolling 30-day agreement |
| MarGen (us) | Foundation £2,950, Authority £5,950 (£6,500 regulated), Dominance from £12,950 | Plus a one-off £2,950 Synaptic Audit, credited against the first month |
The agencies that do not
This is the larger group, and it is the finding.
A widely shared list of the eight best UK GEO agencies carries a price for none of them. ClickSlice’s roundup names ClickSlice, LevelUp Leads, Expre, The Digital Pine, Figment Agency, Paramount Digital, Hooked on Media and SEOProfy. The only figure anywhere in it is a general observation that campaigns “typically start around £1,500/month for SMEs”, attached to nobody.
NeuralAdX, to its credit, publishes a comparison table that states plainly which competitors’ pricing is not publicly listed, naming Blue Array, Exposure Ninja, Found, Impression and Bird Marketing, and links each one’s service page so you can check.
To be fair to all of them: we checked specific pages on one date. An agency that does not publish a price on its pricing page may well give you one on a first call, and “we scope before we quote” is a defensible position. The point is what a buyer can compare before entering a sales process, which is currently almost nothing.
The guides are written by the agencies that do not publish
This is the part worth noticing.
Prox Digital’s UK GEO cost guide states a full set of ranges: £800 to £2,000 entry level, £2,000 to £5,000 typical, £5,000 to £10,000 for competitive B2B, £20,000+ enterprise, and £1,500 to £5,000 for a one-off audit. It describes these as based on “published agency pricing across the market”.
It names no agency and cites no source, and it does not publish its own pricing, stating instead that it does not sell fixed packages.
Aether Agency’s guide quotes a £2,500 to £15,000 monthly range, names one other agency in the whole piece, and publishes no figures of its own. Elite Digital’s market ranges (£300 to £800 budget through to £4,000 to £10,000+ premium) carry no citations either, although that agency does at least publish its own rate card alongside them.
So the numbers circulating as “what UK GEO costs” are substantially produced by firms that will not tell you what they charge. That doesn’t make the ranges wrong, but it does mean nobody has checked them.
SEO publishes. GEO does not. Yet.
The clearest pattern in the whole survey: the agencies with clean published tiers were mostly traditional SEO firms that have folded GEO or AEO into existing packages. The GEO specialists were more likely to publish a guide about market pricing than a price.
That is what an immature category looks like. SEO pricing took years to settle into published rate cards, and it only did so once buyers had enough comparison points to demand it. GEO is roughly where SEO was a decade ago.
It also creates a genuine problem for buyers. If GEO is included free inside a £399 package and also sold as a £5,000 specialism, at least one of those is mislabelled, and the price alone cannot tell you which.
Where we sit, which is the expensive end
Our Foundation tier is £2,950 a month. That is roughly three times Elite Digital’s published Starter and seven times Studio 36’s. Our Dominance tier starts at £12,950.
We’d rather say that than let you discover it. We sit at the top of the market deliberately. What we will not do is publish a market guide implying the typical price is £2,000 to £5,000 while quietly sitting at the top of it, which is the move this page exists to point at.
Two caveats on our own numbers, in fairness to everyone else in the table.
Some prices above are stated plus VAT and some are not. Ours don’t currently state VAT status on our packages page, which we are fixing. Comparing a plus-VAT figure to one of unstated status overstates the gap by up to 20%.
And minimum terms differ sharply. Studio 36 is no-contract on 30 days’ notice. ClickSlice is a rolling 30 days. Our Foundation is a three-month minimum and Authority and Dominance are twelve. A cheaper monthly rate on a twelve-month minimum is not cheaper than a higher rate you can leave in 30 days, and almost every comparison online ignores this.
How to use any of this
Ask what the price includes, in deliverables. “GEO included” inside a £399 package and a £5,000 GEO specialism cannot both describe the same work.
Ask what gets measured. If the reporting is rankings and sessions, you are buying an SEO retainer with new labels, whatever the invoice says. Citation share across named platforms is the unit.
Compare the total commitment, not the monthly rate. Rate multiplied by minimum term, plus any onboarding or audit fee, minus anything credited back.
Be suspicious of the “under £1,500 is fake GEO” claim, including when we are tempted to make it. It’s usually asserted by agencies charging more, and it’s an assertion rather than a finding.

Method and limits
Figures gathered on 5 October 2026 from the pages linked above. We quoted published prices exactly and did not estimate, infer or average anything that was not stated.
This is a record of what a buyer could find published on one day, across a sample rather than a complete census, and it ranks nobody on quality. Prices change, pages change, and some of these will be stale within months. If you are reading this much later, check the links rather than the table.
We have no commercial relationship with any agency named here.

Common questions
How much does a GEO agency cost in the UK?
Of the agencies we found publishing actual figures in October 2026, entry tiers ran from £399 plus VAT a month to £2,950 a month, and top tiers from £999 plus VAT to £12,950.
The spread is enormous because the label covers very different work. The more useful question is what a given price includes, because several agencies fold GEO into a standard SEO package at no stated extra cost while others price it as a separate specialism.
Why do so few GEO agencies publish their prices?
Most do not. One widely shared list of the eight best UK GEO agencies carried no price for any of them.
The usual stated reason is that scope varies too much for a fixed package, which is true and is also true of every professional service that does publish a starting figure. The effect is that buyers can’t compare without entering a sales process first.
Is a cheap GEO retainer worth it?
It depends entirely on what is in it, and nobody can tell you from the price alone.
Several agencies writing about this argue that anything under about £1,000 to £1,500 a month is standard SEO relabelled. We’d be careful with that claim, because it’s usually made by agencies charging more, ourselves included.
Where does MarGen sit in this range?
At the expensive end, and we’d rather say so than let you work it out. Our Foundation tier is £2,950 a month, roughly three times one published Starter tier and seven times another. Dominance starts at £12,950.
We publish the full ladder and the free audit comes first, but nobody should pretend we’re the cheap option.
How reliable are the UK GEO cost figures quoted online?
Treat them carefully. Several widely shared price guides state detailed ranges without naming a single source. One describes its figures as based on published agency pricing across the market and then names no agency.
Where we quote a figure on this page we link the page it came from and give the date we checked it.
